Applying our experience with composters to this field of testing
We are the leading compost quality testing lab in the country. Participating in the U.S. Composting Council's Seal of Testing Assurance program since it's inception we have built strong relationships with composters across the United States and beyond. It is because of these relationships and our knowledge of the composting process that we have entered the field of testing compostable and biodegradable products.
Active in trying to help improve the Standards
The most common concern that we have heard regarding the standards and methods for testing compostable products is skepticism about how well they predict what will happen with the products in real life composting operations. We are combining our experience in method development with our experience with compost to work as part of ASTM task groups to improve the ASTM methods.
